Margaret Gibson

Margaret Gibson is the author of eleven books of poetry, most recently Broken Cup (LSU Press, 2014). She has also published a memoir, The Prodigal Daughter (University of Missouri Press, 2008), and her work has received a Lamont Poetry Award, a Melville Kane Award, and the Connecticut Book Award in Poetry. A finalist for the National Book Award in Poetry in 1993, Gibson has received several Pushcart Prizes, most recently for “Broken Cup” in 2014.  She is professor emerita at the University of Connecticut, and lives in Preston, Connecticut.
