Gerald Majer

Gerald Majer’s poetry, fiction, and essays have appeared in many journals, including Callaloo, FIELD, Mississippi Review, Puerto del Sol, and Vol. 1: Brooklyn. His creative nonfiction book, The Velvet Lounge, was published by Columbia University Press, and his story “Eye of Tylor” is upcoming in The Yale Review. Majer, who teaches literature and creative writing at Stevenson University near Baltimore, Maryland, has published three other essays in The Georgia Review: “Le Serpent Qui Danse” (Fall 2005), “Dreaming of Roscoe Mitchell” (Fall 2003), and “Stitt’s Time” (Summer 2001).
