Han Dong, a poet, fiction writer, essayist, and film director, remains central to contemporary China’s “Third Generation” poetry movement. His most recent poetry volumes include Miracle and Grief or Eternal Life: Four Decades of Selected Han Dong Poems. His writing has won many awards in China, including the Lu Xun Literary Prize and a Media Award for Chinese Literature.
