Jeff Gundy’s sixth and seventh books of poems are Somewhere Near Defiance (Anhinga, 2015) and Abandoned Homeland (Bottom Dog, 2016); he was named Ohio Poet of the Year for the former and a finalist for the Ohioana Poetry Award for the latter. Recent poems and essays are in the Sun, Cincinnati Review, Mid-American Review, Nimrod, and Image. After a 2015 sabbatical at LCC International University in Klaipeda, Lithuania, he has returned to teach at Bluffton University in Ohio.
