Sara Rai

Sara Rai is the author of several fiction books in Hindi, including the recent Ababeel ki Uraan [The Flight of the Swallow] (Rajkamal Prakashan, 2019); Cheelvali Kothi [The House of Kites] (Rajkamal Prakashan, 2015); and others. She is an award-winning translator whose recent translations include Blue Is Like Blue: Stories by Vinod Kumar Shukla (Harper Perennial, 2019), translated with Arvind Krishna Mehrotra, and Premchand’s Kazaki and Other Marvelous Tales (Hachette, 2013), among others. She lives in Allahabad, India.
