Outside; Alienation and the Norm; & A Detailed Reduction of Children with Disabilities

Ted Snyder is a writer and high school teacher. While he was in middle school, administrators assigned him to the special education program. Now, as a teacher, that experience puts him into an uncomfortable space that he mines to create erasure poems, as he now works for the system that tried to label and control him. His erasures have appeared or are forthcoming in Confrontation, Cincinnati Review, Banyan Review, and elsewhere, and his fiction has appeared in several anthologies. He studied education and creative writing at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
