From Jupiter Invincible (story by Yusef Komunyakaa, art by Ashley A. Woods, augmented reality by Ram Devineni)

Yusef Komunyakaa was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana. Komunyakaa’s Neon Vernacular: New and Selected Poems (1994) won the Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award and the Pulitzer Prize. Komunyakaa is the recipient of the 2011 Wallace Stevens Award and the co-creator of the “Jupiter Invincible” comic book series.

Ashley A. Woods is a comic book artist from Chicago, Illinois, and known for her work on the “Tomb Raider,” “iobe,” and “Ladycastle” series. She illustrated the first edition of the “Jupiter Invincible” comic book series.

Ram Devineni is a filmmaker, publisher, and founder of Rattapallax films and magazine, based in New York City. He is the creator of India’s first female comic book superhero, Priya, and the co-creator of the “Jupiter Invincible” comic book series. He produced, edited, and directed the feature documentary The Karma Killings, which was shot in India and released on Netflix.
